Getting Pregnant Loestrin
why do i have so much break through bleeding on loestrin 24 could i be pregnant?
I have had a lot of break through bleeding on loestrin 24 and ive been taking it everyday but not always at the exact same time.ive been on it for three months now. my husband and i are not trying to get pregnant so we use the withdrawal method and birth control. ive also noticed other pregnancy symptoms such as headaches fatigue and mood swings, all of which could also be attributed to the birth control. what do you think, could another child be in store for my family?
Odd bleeding is not generally a symptom of pregnancy, no bleeding is. The pill works by tricking your body into thinking you are already pregnant with synthetic hormones so you don't release eggs. The most likely thing is that the pill is not strong enough for you and your body is not totally fooled. Talk to your doctor about switching to a higher dose pill.

Im taking Loestrin birth control which is a "low dose" birth control. Could I get pregnant?
I've been having unprotected sex more than twice a week and I know my partner has ejaculated. Since my birth control is low dose im worried about me getting pregnant.. My period is expected in about a week. Could I become pregnant?
Low dose doesn't mean that it's less protection. What it means is lower levels of hormones are used to prevent pregnancy, so you don't have moodiness, less breakthrough bleeding, more controllable periods, etc. As long as you are taking the pill every day as you would any other type of birth control pill, you are still protected from pregnancy to the same degree of effectiveness of every other birth control pill out there.
